about-geoff-wheeler1Geoff has a strong technical and operational background, covering small to large industrial bakeries, he is an important member of the management team.

Geoff studied in New Zealand and has worked in management and technical managerial roles in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

He worked for Goodman Fielder from 1983 until 2004 when its yeast and bakery ingredients division was sold to a British ingredients company. Geoff has used his years of accumulated experience in the baking industry to set up Baketech, the parent company of Elevating Food Safety.

web photosChandré studied at the University of Pretoria and completed her BA (HED) degree in 1989. She taught English Primary and Additional Language at various high schools across the country for 18 years.

During these years Chandré had always been involved in marketing, managing projects and sales. She left the teaching profession in 2008 and ventured into managing, marketing and sales related opportunities.

She worked for NSF Africa in a marketing capacity for four years and has been employed as Regulatory Advisor by Registrar Corp, a US based company, for 6 years managing the Sub-Saharan office. Chandré joined Entecom(a Food Safety and Consulting business),in September 2011.

She is currently employed as General Manager of Elevating Food Safety, and also manages the office for Registrar Corp in Cape Town.

She feels that being involved with Elevating Food Safety has given her the opportunity to be a part of the exciting industry of Food Safety. Apart from that, she has a passion to assist not only the established large companies, but also smaller businesses that need assistance in system implementation, training and other relevant services.

IMG_0003Nico Mostert qualified as an Environmental Health Officer in 1996. He never practised as a Health Inspector, but instead started his career, doing food quality inspections on fresh produce and flowers destined for export. In 2003, Nico became an auditor in various Food Safety and Good Agricultural Practices standards, such as GLOBALG.A.P., TN10, LEAF Marque, GMP standards, HACCP, BRC Food, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 etc.

He is regarded as one of the most experienced food safety auditors in various fields of food safety, having conducted numerous audits against a variety of Food Safety and Good Agricultural Practices standards throughout South Africa, Southern Africa, East Africa, West Africa, United Kingdom and even Thailand, for a prominent international Certification Body. He has a wealth of technical knowledge in the different food safety standards applicable to the agricultural and processing sectors.

In the past 4 years, Nico has also presented numerous public training courses in the different certification standards, proving to be popular with the delegates because of his relaxed and practical approach of explaining the requirements of the standards.

Before joining Elevating Food Safety, Nico was the Technical Manager at a leading international Certification Body where he was responsible for training and mentoring experienced and new auditors to a level where they could function as lead auditors in various certification schemes. He was also the HACCP Scheme Manager, responsible to ensure the Certification Body conformed to rigorous accreditation requirements of certifying clients to an acceptable international standard.

With his experience and extensive technical knowledge gained over the past 17 years, Nico will be well equipped to elevate and maintain your current food safety related requirements to internationally recognised standards required in today’s demanding food production environment.

Janice-Pfeiffer-1485-300x200Janice has over 9 years’ experience in the fishing, meat, spices and baking industries. She has a strong microbiology background and in 2004 obtained her National Diploma; Food Technology from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

As head of the Quality Department at Bake Tech she was ultimately responsible for the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. She also provided customers with Technical Support, including Allergen Control, Labelling Regulations and improvements or implementation of their Food Safety and Quality Systems.
